about

who is mandy ???
On paper, I’m an Industrial Design major at Georgia Tech, who delves in product design, graphic design and ux research. Kind of like a knight-mage-healer of design.

In the rare moments I’m not designing, I’m out collecting vintage jewelry, art deco, modern, you name it. Or I’m running through Atlanta, sleeping in a hammock, or eating sushi at my favorite restaurant Wagaya. And if I find someone willing to listen, I’m conversing about existentialism.

Most days, you can find me in the Design shop of Georgia Tech. Whether it's 6pm or 6am (pictured right), I'll be fiddling away at whatever design project is in my line of sight.
Me spackling Celerity, an arthritis-friendly kickboard, at 4am in the shop.

The knight of design. Encompassing various methods of production it could make it purely physical like a kickboard as seen on right or something like a phone with a physical casing and virtual interaction, whichever the case, the knight is usually the most seen at the front.

The mage of design. Graphic design encompasses a variety of outputs such as print media like physical packaging or posters or animations through AfterEffects . Graphic designers are like mages in the way they can combine color theory, typography and more to create unforgettable visuals.

For this sponsored project, I
assessed the user experience of disabled travelers at the curb of the world’s busiest airport through live interviews and observations. I presented solutions directly to representatives of the airport.

The healer of design. UX research is what allows for products to be successful. By talking to users about their paint points and deriving their core needs, you can address those needs through your products!
